Jeff’s technology and business focus ensures that CIBER solutions are customized to meet healthcare client’s unique business challenges while retaining the benefit of proven best practices. Prior to joining CIBER he worked at H2H Solutions where he served as a the Product Manager for their e-Prescribing Platform and lead the integration efforts with national EMR systems, Lab Portals, HIE's, and other SaaS platforms. Jeff also managed large Blue Cross Blue Shield Payer accounts which provided services ranging from: Staff Augmentation, Product Development, and Project-Based Initiatives. Jeff holds an MBA from Wayne State University with a concentration in Information Systems Management and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University.

As people take on greater responsibility for health spend and care choices there is a need for convenient access to support, tools, and information.  Buyers of health insurance need to understand their options in coverage, networks and financial exposure.  Consumers of care need to engage and be engaged to actively manage their health choices for improved health.

Reform legislation will open the market for new products and competitors.  Small group employers are expected to voucher employees to the open market for insurance solutions and Buying Exchanges will move this market exclusively to the internet.

Enterprise Mobility in Healthcare: HIMSS 11 Experience

HIMSS 2011 in Orlando, FL was a great experience for me to see what the future of healthcare will bring and the technology that will drive delivery and support within hospitals, clinics, physician’s offices, labs and payers.  The delivery of care will change significantly with mandates such as the use of EMR by 2014 for physicians, ACO, Meaningful Use, etc.  The use of mobility, cloud computing and remote patient monitoring had a significant presence at HIMSS with the largest cellular network providers partnering with some of the largest clinical systems to develop solutions remotely.

2010 saw the explosion of smart phone use and iTunes® app store and the Android® Market delivered a myriad of “apps” for these phones - and it’s changing our lives.
