Tom Finneran is a consultant for CIBER, Inc. He has acquired over twenty-five years of experience in the field of data processing. What do we mean by a program?
A Program is a business activity involved with managing several related projects, often with the intention of improving an organization's performance. As an example, a business can have a marketing program that is comprised of two TV advertising projects, a national radio project, a series of regional radio projects, three web advertising projects, a series of newspaper ad campaigns, and a mailing campaign. An ERP systems program may include a customer order project, and HR project, a materials management project, and a financial accounting project.
